<p>D still hasn’t heard anything since her interview for the distinction award. Ever hopeful! She got into the scholars program she wanted and full tuition is nothing to sneeze at (especially when we are also protected from the 5-10% hikes each year) so all is happy here regardless! Good luck to everyone! It’s a great program!</p>
<p>Has anyone been notified lately that they have received the Excellence Scholarship? </p>
<p>No, haven’t heard anything….still waiting and March 31st is fast approaching:(</p>
<p>The excellence awards started in mid-Feb and from what I can tell from past years, they end at the end of March but some get accepted as late as April (I guess if they are close and someone else turns it down). D interviewed for the distinction award on 2/20 and hasn’t heard either way on that yet. So don’t give up!</p>
<p>got the call around 6pm today. i got the full ride and some other things! watch your phones cause i actually missed the first call and had to call back. </p>

<p>Also, I think my interview must’ve been in the second round of Distinction interviews. I had it on the 28th of February.</p>
<p>that’s actually the third round of interviews. mine was the second on feb 21. and thank you! the person who called me said there were around 70 people they interviewed total which is a lot for this scholarship so it pretty tough to narrow down. she also said she wanted to call me and let me a bit earlier so i think that within the next week more calls will come!</p>

<p>Hey guys, i got the call about distinction last night a well. Similar thing as tsyni101 happened to me in that i missed the call, called back, and she offered me distribution will add done other things. So grateful right now, and good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back !</p>

<p>hey icegems91, did the lady who called you talk about that new learning community? she told me about it but i didn’t get to ask any questions and tbh my brain was not performing at peak capacity after she said i got distinction haha. </p>
<p>@tsyni101 lol…my d mentioned a new learning community, that this was the inaugural year. Her brain was mush too after Dr. Lee said “congratulations”. Did Dr. Lee mention something about a SKYPE interview with the entire family? D doesn’t remember much of the conversation she was soooo excited. She said the best summary was the one she gave me right after the call. Anyone going to Buckeye Days?</p>
<p>yeah i was told about the skype interview too. i got the email today to schedule a skype call as well so be on the look out for that. </p>
<p>also, people who got distinction. you guys should pm me so we can be facebook friends. if you remember the interview and the MASSIVE list of responsibilities/events that comes with being a distinction scholar i think it’d be a good idea for us all to start to get to know each other as we’ll be working together a lot for the next four years!</p>
