Morrill Scholarship Recipient Stats

Does anyone know the stats of the recipients of the Morrill Scholarship, in particular, the full ride? Does anyone out of state receive it? What about the stats for the next levels of recipients, the full tuition, and also eliminating the out of state surcharge?

How many of the kids are URM vs coming from an under-represented area or having another type of diversity?

Also, is there a scholarship competition that semi-finalists need to attend, or are the scholarships awarded based on the application, essays, recommendations, etc?

I just asked 5 questions in one. Oops sorry! But thanks.

bump bump bump

I don’t know the particular stats of the full ride recipients. However, my friend got that scholarship and she was first in her class, with a high gpa and an underrepresented minority. It is a competitive scholarship that includes an interview if you make it past the application process. Semi-finalists are encouraged to interview at the university. I got the second best scholarship and I am out-of-state. I don’t know if you need to be an URM (I am) but you do need to make a good case for how you would bring diversity to OSU.
