Most Annoying Things on an Airplane

I like to fly Alaska/Horizon Airlines, but then again the only other one I've flown is American Airlines (The fact that their initials are AA kind of makes me laugh though.). I hated American Airlines. Never again...never again.

I agree with everyone who has mentioned UM. When I was actually on time for a flight and I can go directly to my terminal they had me sit behind the stupid desk instead of in a chair. They even had an area set up with the dumb little tree year old puzzles and giant legos. It was an insult to my intelligence. Do they really think the only kids stuck in the UM program are five?

Every time that I've flown Lufthansa it's been wonderful :]

-Flying from Frankfurt to Valencia, we had the little safety speech- in English, German, and Spanish. ( But we got free chocolate on the flight, so it's all good!)
- Flying home, we had a four hour delay @ JFK, sitting on the runway waiting to take off. Most annoying thing on that airplane: Landing in Salt Lake and the pilot announcing all connecting flights had left for the evening.

Flying into MT from any big airport is a huge pain- when airlines start getting behind schedule, guess what the first flights canceled are? Those going to the middle of nowhere.......

I love airline food, though. :)

I don't mind airline food either :]

Oooh, here's a really good one: The person next to you using the 'motion discomfort' bags all through a 5 hour flight. And then them asking if they can borrow yours.I didn't have an appetite for my oreos cuz of that. :(

^ Oh I'm sorry. That seems like it would be aweful.

-People who spill all of the contents of their huge carry-ons into everyone else's personal space.

-People who take forever to get off the plane after landing.

People (sitting next to you) who go to the bathroom a lot.

People who eat the whole time.

@technol, she spread across the entire row >_>. I pretend to not know her at that point.

When I went on a short term missions trip, the plane had mechanical problems when we were waiting for the flight from Tokyo to Taipei. We all spent the night in our own rooms in a nice Japanese hotel, with free breakfast. It's a 50 story hotel called Prince Edward hotel.

The only English-speaking channel was CNN and I was stuck listening to the Natalie Halloway story all night.

The food was great!

Annoying things:
-Long immigration lines
-At JFK, there was this guy who kept screaming at people to "Move! Move! Move!" and cursing them out where the cars pick up people who are coming out of the airport. That was only once, though. He did work there, I think.

I hate American Airlines. Delta is fine. I remember when they had that sort of sub-airline, Song, which was fun. The best I've ever flown so far was Cathay Pacific.

America Airlines smells especially bad in comparison to the other planes.

Haha ok everybody, how should we punish these airline offences? ;]

I've been flying alone since I was thirteen but I've never officially flown as a UM. My dad always just gets his little pass at check in and chills in the gate with me... but starting October he won't be able to do that anymore. Which is too bad, because it's nice to have someone to talk to while you're waiting - even nicer when that someone will buy you overpriced airport Starbucks. :p

umm...people who spill their orange juice on you!
ahem my mother

Has anyone mentioned lost, stolen, delayed, or damaged luggage?

That sucks.

The 40-year old man who laughs out loud at some stupid 90s cartoon on the TV in front of them, while you're trying to sleep.

Obese people who can't fit in their seat.
Lost luggage.
People who spend 20 minutes in the bathroom when there's a line... to do their makeup!
People who have any electronics that make noise.
Babies.

So I'm guessing we all have come to a group concencess (crap I can't spell) that babies should be BANNED from
airplanes/airports.

Goodness, I feel like I should be back in panel discussion.

Not banned, just heavily sedated.
