<p>So for my senior year I'm planning on making up for not being able to take AP classes as a freshman, sophomore, and only being able to take 2 as a junior. Next year I'll be taking 8 (Lit, Bio, Chem, Psych, Spanish Language, American Government, and Microeconomics and Macroeconomics online over summer, which I guess count as 2 AP classes even though they're only .5 of a credit?). I know it's gonna be a ton of work but I'm actually really excited. </p>
<p>How many are you planning on taking next year? And what's the most you've heard of anyone taking? </p>
<p>Don't get me wrong, I'm not bragging about taking such a retarded schedule, I just wanna know how mine is by comparison. I know other people out there have schedules like this, but I guess I go to a lazy school. I'm ranked 13/670 or something and all of the girls that rank higher than me aren't taking more than 4.</p>
<p>You can self study American Government, Psych, Lit, and both econ classes, meaning you can actually take more meaningful AP classes that you would otherwise be unable to self-study for.</p>
<p>I am self studying the econ classes, and might end up doing the same with Psych depending if we still have a teacher next year. Besides, the only other AP’s my school offers that I’m not taking are; Art (why don’t i just shoot myself now); maths (my weakest subject and what keeps me from being valedictorian. Also next year we’re losing are AP math teachers, so I can’t expect having a great teacher); Physics (a little bit more of a math based science I think? Either way I’d rather stick to taking AP’s on sciences I’ve already taken).</p>
<p>Anyway, I don’t want to take any more AP’s than I’ve mentioned. This is already gonna be waaaay time constraining for me and I’ve still got a whole lot going on outside of school. I’d rather not overexert myself and bring down my GPA.</p>
<p>Next year I’m taking six… I don’t know how I’m going to do it, it’s only junior year and I’m already sick of school and I only had to take three AP’s, I can’t imagine next year having to take six and deal with prom and graduation and fight off senioritis…</p>
<p>Dude, ditch Micro/Macro and do like Comp Gov and Enviro Science. Comparative will overlap with US Gov a bit, and enviro will be easy if you’re also taking AP BIO.</p>
<p>Thanks for the encouragement, haha. But no I’ve got some weird innate drive and inability to not allow myself to not get my work done. I’m already used to working til 2-3 in the morning, but usually it’s because I start at 1. Now I’ll just have to start working around 7 and ending at 2 or 3.</p>
<p>Maybe it’s just my school, but I can’t stand honors or normal classes. I’ve gotten used to the pace of AP classes and everything else just seems way too easy and boring for me. Which I guess is a good thing? But I have a feeling I’d have senioritis worse if I had classes I could just cruise through</p>
<p>rk33, I have that drive too. I took 8 , yes I’m the guy who the proctor is talking about when he/she says you can “write your AP test code if you don’t have a label”. I have that drive, and I am COMPLETELY burned out. After Friday I won’t pick up a textbook until August. It got to a point where after 3 terms of Straight A’s I just didn’t give a crap because I knew with exam exemptions I could have Straight A’s with A-A-A-B. If someone had told me I would feel this way back when I scheduled this year of hell, I would have called them crazy. Now I know that the crazy one was me.</p>
<p>I’m taking 8 AP tests as a junior. Still got 3 more left. It’s hell!!! Don’t kill yourself!
Anyways, I know a kid who’s taking 9 this year as a senior, but no one is taking more than 4 as a junior, so yeah.</p>
