Most Beautiful Campus?

Rhodes College is beautiful! I LOVE the architecture, especially the inside of the main library :)

I like the Caltech campus and the lovely gardens.

While MIT’s campus doesn’t compare to other colleges mentioned, some of the individual buildings are great. The CSAILs building, for one, and the BCS building across the street, with its own greenhouse (a neat place to study and relax).

Smith has an advantage of being in Northampton, with great eateries. And who doesn’t like the ducks around the Wellesley pond?

I also really like Carnegie Mellon’s campus. Not on many “most beautiful” lists but I love the look.

Bryn Mawr was beautiful.

I agree with Pandemic regarding the beauty of Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee! Great school too!

Vanderbilt
Furman
Rhodes

Not my alma mater. ;)

Denison campus is amazing, and you don’t expect it to be in Columbus suburbs. My D called it ‘unicorn college’.

Indiana university Bloomington. Very park like.

I also loved Cornell.

Wellesley,Kenyon.

Rhodes
Sewanee
Agnes Scott
Princeton
West Point
Ole Miss
Furman
William & Mary

William and Mary, UCLA, Stanford, Naval Academy and Notre Dame.
I heard Rhodes is nice but have never seen that one.

Princeton, and Sewanee in Tennessee. Both look like Hogwarts.

many nice campuses…

W&M is the best, obviously. Other nice ones that I’ve seen are:
UVA
Princeton
Stanford
UW-Madison

and one I don’t think has been mentioned yet: West Point!

Fun to see this come around… again

For the historic bricks and white trim style, UVa;
For the stone and secret garden style, Princeton;
For the Asian garden style, Caltech;
For the grand sandstone and Spanish architecture; Stanford;
For the natural beauty among the redwoods, UC Santa Cruz;
Of course, many others are also charming.

Oh the horror- no one has mentioned Virginia Tech! Such attention to detail in using the Hokie Stone in their architecture… All against a blue ridge mtn background. Simply Gorgeous.

We also think Rice is nice… And UNC Chapel hill. University of Texas at Austin. And Duke could be nice… but who can see it behind all those trees, LOL?

I have only seen a picture of the library at Rhodes but it is stunning.

I love University of Chicago’s campus, and I would put University of Iowa up there with UW-Madison.

St. Olaf is gorgeous and so is St. Thomas in the Twin Cities.

U of Rochester was a pretty campus - too cold in winter though :slight_smile: Gorgeous on a lovely spring day. Walked around Tufts right after a huge snowstorm - the campus looked lovely with trees covered in snow. Bucknell was also really beautiful - but very remote. No easy access and the town surrounding it was miniscule!

S definitely wants a school with a beautiful campus - he doesn’t like very urban settings like UPenn/CWRU. But at the same time, he wants easy access to the town/city, different things to do - not in the middle of nowhere. Any ideas? How many of these beautiful campuses have that easy access to a nearby town/city/airport?

Arisamp - Tulane would be worth a look. Nice campus within a residential area of New Orleans. Beautiful park (Audubon Park) right across the street from the school. Airport is a short ride from campus. The city of New Orleans is a unique and amazing place.

Georgetown <3
And visited Bryn Mawr (because if my gf) -> liked it
