Most Beautiful Campus?

Elon University. Ranked #1 in this listing, for good reason.

(Check out the nice pictures of 50 gorgeous campuses!)

Walk along the Colonnade at Washington & Lee at this time of year. When not distracted by dogs following their student owners into class, flying frisbees, teachers instructing under a nearby oak, and everyone saying hello to you; you will realize that this thread has now reached its logical and just conclusion.

^^Was also going to say W&L…although this morning there was snow on the ground. It’s been colder than usual this year, but is beautiful even in the snow.

you aren’t kidding … and lots of happy students on campuses. I’ve been on a lot of campuses with my two oldest and my biggest take away is students have SO MANY great options of where to go to school.

scmom12, I used to HATE spring snows at W&L. But I am a New Orleanian and not used to putting on boots in April.

Vassar College

My vote is University of Colorado Boulder

Some of my favorites include University of Oregon (my alma mater), Chico State, university of the Pacific

THERE IS A COLLEGE WHERE YOU CAN TAKE YOUR DOG TO CLASS? How did I not know about it?

This changes everything.

^^When I was at UC Davis back in the early 80s it was common for people to take their dogs to class. Some other pets too, including one kid who took his big constrictor snake, which freaked out some of the women. Whether the snake should be allowed or not was a heated debate in the school newspaper.

Being the home of CA’s vet school, UC Davis is full of animal-loving pre-vet and vet students, so tolerance for animals is quite high.

Back in the 1970’s, I took an elective course at Cal Poly Pomona in canine obedience training, so all of these students had to bring their dogs to their other classes on those days. I brought my sweet but stubborn three year old golden retriever, and was lucky to get a B. Don’t know about now, but back then the animal science programs were strong, especially the equine program. The campus included the old Kellogg family estate and their Arabian stables.

LOL, probably nothing. However, I can only verify it’s beauty with my own eyes in May or July. I’ve only been there twice, once with each kid.

University of Phoenix. As beautiful as you want it to be:)

But as far as those Ive visited? Colgate hands down

MOUNT HOLYOKE HANDS DOWN.

And then maybe U of Virginia.

I liked Brandeis’s castle dorms, too.

Haha, penzly!

Haven’t read the entire thread. Has anyone said Duke? D1 loved that campus.

Wellesley. I miss that place!

U-Dub’s main campus is beautiful, too. A funny story… After having a class on the UW’s main campus a couple of weeks ago, I hang out around the quad and took pictures of the buildings and cherry trees in bloom. Sent them to Mr B, and his reply was, “Why are you sending me pictures of Wellesley?” LOL, how could someone not recognize his alma mater?!

Of the other colleges we visited, IMO, Scripps College has a beautiful campus. Very different from the above mentioned two, but beautiful in its own way.

Uhmmmm…they had a huge capitol campaign and subsequent signficant building period? :o

Okay, so many of you have said UVA. Is it a great school also, or do kids come home so entranced with its beauty that they don’t even look any further? :)

No, I know it has a great reputation. I’ve never seen it before, but it obviously is a winner in the looks department according this thread. It may have even come in first place on this thread?

Penn State - University Park , UC Berkley, U Chicago, Bowdoin

University of Maryland-College Park has an absolutely picturesque campus.
