Pretty self-explanatory! I'll start: WashU

Smith! SO beautiful :)

Cornell
Swarthmore
UVA
Duke
(in that order)

I tend to go for nice grounds and Gothic architecture.

Bryn Mawr
Duke
Indiana
Kenyon
Princeton
Rhodes
Sewanee
Swarthmore
WUStL

Others I’ve liked - Chicago, College of the Atlantic, Cornell, FSU, Furman, UBC, Vassar, Wake Forest, Warren Wilson, Washington (UW)

I’ll add this odd thought…a campus is beautiful when it allows one to reach an epiphany and become connected to a larger reality. Perhaps walking through a particular campus and sitting on a bench will provide new and wonderful insights but, also, meeting new and engaging students, discovering new fields of study, leaving a set of buildings thinking differently than when one enters…now that is beautiful.

That describes schools like UVA, Duke, Stanford, Princeton, Kenyon, Rhodes and the University of Chicago very well morandi.

Pomona College
Scripps College
University of San Diego

Pepperdine and ucsb

Iowa State

I think campus beauty is dependent on several factors: architecture, layout, landscaping (e.g. courtyards, pathways), and natural setting. Other factors that play into it are cohesion and continuity (does the architecture vary a lot? Are the buildings juxtaposed in more aesthetically pleasing ways?). People tend to focus only on architecture though.

That said, few campuses do well in all those. Berkeley has a beautiful campus (natural setting, many gorgeous buildings), but it’s a hodgepodge of different architectures. UC Santa Cruz’s campus is amazing, but that’s mainly because of its natural setting.

Other really gorgeous colleges that meet most of the criteria: Stanford, U Chicago, Yale, Princeton, Kenyon, CU-Boulder, Cornell

Schools I think are overrated in their beauty: Harvard, Georgetown

Google it and you’ll come up with a bunch of neat lists.

Of all those that I’ve visited (not many, compared to how many there are), Notre Dame.

Gothic:
BC
Michigan
Washington
Columbia
Penn
WUSTL
ND

Environmentally:
Hawaii
Pepperdine
Colorado College
Middlebury

Urban Trendy:
MIT
Northeastern Univ.
Northwestern Univ.

Huh, since when did Michigan (besides the law quad) or Columbia have gothic architecture? I can’t believe you forgot Princeton, Duke or Yale in the Gothic category.

Middlebury, Duke, Princeton, Dartmouth, Colby

Sewanee is amazing.
Vanderbilt!!!The campus is a national arboretum. It is very beautiful.
Notre Dame is too!

Chapman University has a gorgeous campus.

We visited OU and TCU and those were very, very nice. SMU was amazing.

UC Santa Cruz. I small bit of me wishes I went there. :)

I really liked UNC and Chapel Hill
