most beautiful campuses

Vanderbilt hands down the most beautiful. University of Vermont very pretty and not very hard to get into comparatively.

Oops, I should have put Wellesley and UVA near the top of my list too. Wellesley oozes Waldenesque academic retreat, albeit just outside Boston, and UVA, at least the main quads, is the model of architectural coherance. If the woods is the objective, University of the South and UC Santa Cruz can't be beat. How about a good beach view at UC Santa Barbara or Eckard College (FL). Both wonderful environments but their buildings are below par. Having said all this if you're looking for someplace sweet with a more traditional feel and a non-urban setting, Elon is remarkable.

I visited about 20 LACs, and I thought Kenyon was the most beautiful by far.

Wake Forest is quite a lovely campus.

I'll echo what was said earlier: if you are interested in the outdoors there is absolutely no way you can beat UC Santa Cruz.

^ The UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs...YES!

Middlebury, Colgate, Lehigh. definitely.

Villanova anyone?

Bryn Mawr, Wellesley, old part of Stanford...

Ones I haven't personally seen: Princeton, Colgate, Vassar, Oxford, Cambridge

Vassar and Amherst out of the schools I've visited were without a doubt the prettiest. Swarthmore was also quite attractive.

Princeton, Stanford are really nice.

Although I've never been there YET, from the photos I've seen, Carleton looks absolutely beautiful. The Lyman lakes really add a pretty touch to the whole landscape.

explored smith the other day while in northampton- gorgeous.

Pepperdine!

Tufts, Wellesley, Wash U., Bowdoin, UC Berkeley, and Duke. Oxford, too.

Stanford looks like a diffuse Taco Bell–that mission architecture splayed against the flat and dry landscape–blech!

^ What kind of taco bells do you go to?

And Tufts is probably oe of the ugliest campuses in the Boston area alone. BC, Northeastern and Harvard all have nicer campuses.

<<<and tufts=“” is=“” probably=“” oe=“” of=“” the=“” ugliest=“” campuses=“” in=“” boston=“” area=“” alone.=“” bc,=“” northeastern=“” and=“” harvard=“” all=“” have=“” nicer=“”>>>.</and>

Struck a nerve did I, informative?

Oh, yes, no beautiful campus list would be complete without UVA.

Funny, my son will be applying Early Decision to Tufts and noticed how pretty the Tufts campus is. Something he usually wouldn’t notice and didn’t comment on when visiting other pretty campuses.

Furman U was recently ranked in the top 19 by Bing
