“You name it, Columbus has AA beat”

Not the quality of the university or safety to be sure. The entire city of Ann Arbor is reasonably safe. The areas around OSU are not.

^^ I think I should clarify the frequent bar fights that I alluded to on the 2nd floor of Nectarine…or outside (thanks to the bouncers) that drew AA police attention on wkends.

I added the word ‘thugs’ to the student bar fight that I mentioned above for the reason that most involved were not UM nor MSU students, they were mostly Asians from the nearby EMU, Schoolcraft, Wayne State or even UDM if not real thugs from the Detroit area. I maybe stereotyping, but my experiences tell me that most Asian students from UM & MSU were and are well-mannered especially the international ones.

Knowing what I know, I can’t say that I am 100% agreed, but refrain to elaborate anymore on these subjects. Let’s get back to the topic!! lol

^^^You mean that ugly picture of the Sullivan Hall library? ;-)

I really love how this turned into OSU vs Michigan. :p

Go Bucks!

It’s that time of year en guarde. I wish we could hold up our end of the rivalry better. Damn Rich Rod!

^^You mean that ugly picture of the Sullivan Hall library?

One thing you need to know about Sullivan Hall besides its age is that it is not what the exterior, but what’s inside counts! The Tiffany glass ceilings, the columns, the art deco plasters, the ‘marble pillars’…etc., all make Sullivan special!! Of course, you would have to be a student to know, yet it’s never too late you know… ;-)

Why yes it is that time of the year!
I live in Buffalo but I’m going to be in Columbus for the Michigan game.
I am beside myself with excitement.

One of the images that was forever ingrained in my mind was Dinand Library at College of the Holy Cross. The best way I can describe Dinand is the Beast’s library in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast".

The Mount Holyoke College library should be on the list

UCSD’s library is pretty plain and boring on the inside, but it sure looks bad ass from outside.

Top 5 from the list:

Babst Library - Boston College - The standard in beautiful libraries.

Cook Legal Library- Michigan - Easily the most beautiful law library in the country.

Suzzallo Library - Washington - Beautiful; top in the west

Butler Library - Columbia - Nicest ivy league library

Fisher Library - Penn - Round and beautiful

Big Universities tend to have greater libraries… but I find the small Lac’s libraries more attracting places for studing…
