On the website of most colleges, it says that the January testing date is the last possible date to take any SATs (though they encourage it to be done by Dec.) I called them and asked if I would be penalized or quote on quote "look bad" for sending a score in so late and the person over the phone was insistent in saying that it had absolutely no bearing on my application.

So I asked her if there was the possibility of my application being reviewed before my January SAT scores came in and the person YES.

I then asked her how taking the Jan. SAT would not have any bearing on my application, and she said, "Trust us. We've been doing this for years."

Okay, but that doesn't address my question or reassure me in any way.

Does anybody know how the process works? Will my application be reviewed 100% again after my scores come in even if it was preliminarily reviewed before?
