Hello,
I'm sure this question has come up previously, but what major(s) has/have been the most common for admittance to med schools (if all applicants from each major field had received high grades).

I was reading somewhere that Classic majors have a higher admittance to med school. I am a German major at Case Western Reserve University in the pre-med track, and my advisor said that major would help me to stick out well. She's kind of loopy, but I just wondered and didn't know whom to ask.

I'm still having some qualms about med-school. I study for what seems likes eons, and sometimes I wonder if it's really worth it. But I would ideally like to combine language with medicine and work in international medicine. My minor is Russian and I can speak French and Dutch fluently, so I plan on using that. I still am highly interested in teh sciences, and have an A average in all my pre-med courses.

It is currently the end of my first year here at Case, and was wondering if any of you could answer my first question about the major, and perhaps any about international medicine and if any of who had any hesitations about med-school or felt like the studying and stress was too much.

Thank you.

Brad
