others?

New Jersey

others?

MA
NY
Fairfax County, VA (idk about VA as a whole)

Apparently Baltimore, MD is pretty competitive.

lol I would just like to throw the Bay Area out there again =)

On a rather broad scale, I’d say for states CA, NY, MA, NJ (among a couple others maybe) are the most competitive.

yeah i’m pretty sure those four are in the top five most competitive states…

Databox you’re in Bay Area? Lol, competitive area in Norcal…I happen to be in the competitive area of SoCal (Orange County-ish). Interesting.

As long as I start getting into academics…I’m such a late bloomer it’s not even funny. All you peeps with calculus-studying in 4th grade, it bothers me.

Lately I’ve been making some progress…LMAO. Actually started studying for the first time like 2 days ago.

Montgomery County, MD

They have three of the top 100 schools, and all of them are non-magnet publics - whoever happens to live nearby goes there.

California and the New England areas covers it up succinctly enough.

norcal pride :)

NY. def.

bx sci pride. :D

Not the Detroit area, that’s for sure…

lsts, my cousin lives in Howard county, which is basically the same thing as Montgomery county, and I can’t stop thinking that his school is incredibly easy. I live in an uncompetitive area, but I go to a top 100 school, so I guess it’s different.

I’d say Mass.

i would hate to be in a competitive area

Didn’t you say something like this a coupla months ago? lol

Montgomery County I’d say. But then again I’m biased. I think SoCal, the Bay area, NJ, and NY are pretty competitive too.

Haha, yeah, the Bay Area is crazy, it had about 13% of the world’s USAMO qualifiers last year and made up 1/3 of the IMO team…

Databox: And then I failed.

Also, I’ve been to the Bay Area, and all I saw were Asians…lol.

Haha wow, try to keep it up this time, you’re certainly smart enough to pull off good grades =)

Yeah, that’s the Bay Area, and that’s why there are so many olympiad qualifiers up here…

I’d like to emphasize CA again.

NYC is competitive D:
