My opinion of the top 4 most difficult AP classes are:

AP Calculus BC

AP Chemistry

AP Physics C

AP Physics B

I’d say Physics C, then BC.

Other than that, I don’t really know. I found AP Chem pretty easy, and I took a class that had the same curriculum as Physics B (probably lower expectations though) and didn’t find it too hard.

I bet CS AB was pretty hard back when it existed.

id say these are bias selections, for me the maths and sciences are the easiest AP tests, the hardest for me would have to be AP Lit, than AP Gov

BC and physics C are pretty easy, but thats only cuz im asian.
in terms of workload, i think ap bio is pretty challenging too.
and ap chem would be easier than physics C and maybe B
AP euro is pretty hard too

AP Chem>AP Physics B> AP Calculus BC

AP Physics C hands down

physics b, physics c, and calc bc are super easy. from what ive taken the only class that was difficult was biology, but the ap exam was easy for that as well.

ap physics c is ridiculously hard, so is ap french

In my school AP English Literature is probably the most hardcore AP class.

AP Lit is easyyyy.

AP Music Theory is pretty difficult.

AP Calc is a joke, imo.

Ap Music Theory is the easiest one.
Ap English Literature or Language would kill me.
Ap Calculus would be easy for me.

I’m more of a math/science student. Not like the one who started this post, assuming English adepts are weak in math and science.

^ AP Music Theory is NOT easy. Melodic dictation is more heavily weighted then the non-listening portion of the test, so if you want to get a 5, you have to at least get a 5 in melodic dictation. The ear training you are forced to endure is not only tedious at times, but it’s very difficult to dictate a melody unless you have perfect pitch or have played an instrument for a number of years. I’ve actually played piano for eight years now, and melodic dictation is still headache inducing for me. Sure, Music Theory isn’t the typical AP class, but I bet even people who aced AP English Lit or AP Lang would have difficulty receiving a 5.

AP Lit/Lang are completely different skill sets opposed to Music Theory. I got a 5 in Lang and I guarantee you I would not pass the Music Theory exam. Why? I can’t read music.

Haha I would DIE in either AP Bio or AP Chem. Props to any of you who are doing/have done either of those (or both). Biology and chemistry just don’t work in my brain, and I can’t seem to grasp all the minute details. On the other hand, I love physics. And after taking AP Macroecon first semester, I don’t want to have anything to do with economics anymore (thus no Microecon), though I’ll most likely be seeing it again in the near future X_X Hopefully my college Econ professor will be a lot nicer than my Macro teacher was this year…

AP Physics C

All of the rest of them are pretty easy. Calc BC used to be hard, but they no longer test Work (the integral of force, not like someone’s job) so now it’s easy. That was the only difficult thing on there.

AP Chem is ridiculously easy.

I’ve only taken AP Calc BC and AP Physics C, but this May I will have a better idea of what is the most difficult.

I hope they are the most difficult though, that would mean the tests I’m taking this May will be fairly easy.
