Most difficult----Least difficult

These are some of the schools that I am interested in. Could you please put them in order from most difficult to get into, to the easiest to get into. Okay, that wasn't very grammatically correct, but you get the gist of it. Thanks so much for any input.

Middlebury
Bowdoin
Brown
Ithaca
U of Rochester
Northwestern
Johns Hopkins
Tufts
Beloit
Vassar
Colgate
Colby
Kenyon

my guess:

brown
johns hopkins
tufts
middlebury
northwestern
bowdoin
vassar
colgate
colby
rochester
kenyon
ithaca

Have you ever seen a high school's "results" list such as
http://apps.amityregion5.org/colleges/CollegeApp

It has most of the schools you are looking for, and would give you a good idea of the acceptance cutoffs for the private schools. State schools will vary depending on who is in-state and who isn't.

Beloit is a good school with a high acceptance rate; it's student body is self-selecting, liberal and quirky. Location isn't great, although nearby Rockford, Illinois is a booming town, and Chicago and Madison are both within 90 minute drives.

all seem difficult w/ ithica being one of the less difficult ones

All of the following in my opinion are about the same selectivity group with a few exceptions, but best guesses...

brown
northwestern
JHU

tufts
middlebury
bowdoin

colgate
vassar
colby
rochester
kenyon

ithaca

also if your a science major move bowdoin close to the top

Is it harder for some majors to get into bowdoin than others?

i have no clue.. its pretty hard all around

Brown, JHU, Northwestern

Middlebury, Vassar, Bowdoin, Colgate

URochester, Tufts, Colby, Kenyon,

Ithaca, Beloit

Brown
Middlebury
Bowdoin
Northwestern
Colgate
Tufts
Hopkins
Vassar
Colgate
Colby
Rochester
Kenyon
Beloit
Ithaca

I'd say (based solely on difficulty of admission):

Brown
JHU
Bowdoin/Midd
Northwestern
Tufts
Vassar
Colgate
Rochester
Colby
Kenyon
Beloit
Ithaca

where would northwestern fall in that list?

Brown
Middlebury
Northwestern/JHU
Tufts/Bowdoin
....(agree with insertnamehere for the rest)

This is the first time I've seen such table and you can cross reference to see where a particular student gets rejected and accepted.
