Most Dominant Admissions Results!

I would like to see who did “THE BEST” in college admissions this year. How many Ivies? Duke? Stanford? Merit money at good schools?

I, myself, did pretty well: Stanford, Duke, Penn, Brown, Chitown, Berk and others.

So let the contest begin!

are you trying to compensate for something?

Zephyr,
"If you compare yourself to other, you may become vain and bitter; as there will always be greater and lesser perosns than yourself."

because you will find both what you perceive to be greater and lesser people than you. It all becomes relative.

Greater and lesser people...is that how you judge people? I understand this quote, but you have really used it not with the intention with which it was made.

Do you want to rate people by some arbritatary system that is out of most peoples' control? What would be the point of this exercise? To show off? To brag? To make others feel bad? I just hope you mature a bit. Really sad. The admission process is not a contest. Its a struggle for many, a joy for some, a disappointment for others. You need to learn a lot if you are going to have a good life. So you got into dozen colleges. Big deal. Until you show compassion, your so called accomplishments mean nothing.

The admission process is like big game hunting, who has the most trophies...it is out of control and with people applying to so many schools, it has morphed the process into something ugly. A person can only go to one school. It appears that it is not to just get into a good school anymore, its a contest to see how many you can get into. Because the schools a student can get into are sooooo different, for many, it has become a game. Not what is the best place for me, but to show off. Play a game. This benefits no one and hurts many.

Devry, Bryman (refridgerator repair), ITT Tech, UCI (the united culinary institute), Universtiy of Pheonix Online. BEAT THAT MOFO'S!

so you are UCI hopeful no more?

nope UCI rejected me (by UCI i mean UC Irvine not the Culinary institute).

Citygirlsmom,

Greater and lesser are relative terms depending on how one perceives greater or lesser.

Maybe this is what I should have said in my previous post:

If you live your life from a perspective of trying to trump others, there will always be some one who can and will trump you.

I totally understand where you are coming from because no matter how many schools you get accepted at you can only attend one.
And who knows, that one may not be all that it was cracked up to be. Greater and lesser are relative terms, as one may think they got into a "better" school or did "better" in the admissions process on the surface while not knowing that there are many people extremely happy with their choice whether it is Harvard , the Joe and willie college of widgets or any other school in between.

If I had $1 for every educated fool I came across...

College admissions is a game -- a complicated and expensive one.

As with all games, there are as many champions as flops. One's performance says nothing about the quality of one's character.

Do not become smug with your winnings. It is a sure route to failure.
