I can’t stand people who don’t care about their education. I know you’re too cool for school, but you shouldn’t put up distractions for other people to learn. I remember in 7th grade this kid was talking really loudly during a lecture, and the teacher asked who was talking. Well, let’s say this kids name was Danny. Danny lied and said that I was talking, and Danny was the teacher’s pet. I got in trouble for that, and was sent outside of the room, and was yelled at for like 10 minutes.

@tacoperson123 I was just going to say this!! Some kids that have a studyhall AND a lunch (which is not uncommon at my school) complain about not having enough free time, when they do NOTHING after school except hang out. Then they come into class the next day and didn’t do their HW!! And I’m like: I saw you sitting playing games when I was in practice for my varsity sport, I saw you flirting with guys when I was running between the clubs I co-captain, and I saw you laying on the floor complaining you are so bored when I saw writing an essay for an honors class and studying on quizlet for a test tomorrow, THEN I saw you chatting with your friends on our late bus while I was taking notes from a textbook, then I saw you updating your status on social media at 8pm and posting pictures on FB at 2 in the morning when I checked my social media while walking to my bus in the morning. You come into class saying you were busy and didn’t have time to do your HW.

@Yakisoba Not all schools have multiple floors. My school in Southern California is all outdoor like a college and there’s no lockers so you have to walk across the school in the hot sun while lugging around your heavy backpack and textbooks. The school is pretty big too (3600 students).

The most annoying thing is how some kids in my class turn into robots during the school year, only caring about academics. It’s even more annoying when these same kids look down on everyone who drinks/parties and act like its a big deal.
Also the fact that in my school, it’s not hard at all to get good grades. The valedictorian of my class has a 4.0 gpa and 25 act

^also people who get in trouble for something they did and then act like the teacher who got them in trouble is the most horrible person in the world and they did nothing wrong.

“Mrs. Smith is such a … I wasn’t even going to cheat on the test, my friend just sent me the answers! That’s not my fault.”

I hate this: “Well you’re a minority so of course everything is easier for you. You don’t even have to try. Hell, you get a free 400 points on your SAT anyway”

…Excuse me??? Really? That’s what it is. The fact that we are in the same exact class with the same exact assignments counts for nothing? I breeze through because I’m a minority. Good one. And the fact that you sit on your rear while I work my tail off and get better grades than you is a fluke?

To add to what @emenya said, being a minority and living in the South (specifically, Texas). I feel like some people have never talked to a black person before, and also their preconceived notions about how “easy” it will be for me to get into college. Will it be easier? Probably, but not by much lol

I think the most frustrating thing is how kids blame teachers for just about everything, from their bad grades to their lack of sleep. With the later, I understand how this might happen, but it’s not the teacher’s fault that you chose to play a varsity sport with 4 AP classes. I had this one girl in all of my classes last year, and in every single class she pretty much complained about this one teacher, my favorite teacher, pretty much nonstop. She actually complained to the point that he got in trouble with administration, because she was whining about how he was making us go to an in-school field trip, which isn’t allowed. He had told us like, a million times that it wasn’t mandatory and that he only recommended that we go because he thought it would enhance our learning, but she told another teacher that it was mandatory, and that teacher told administration, and so instead of enjoying the in-school field trip, he spend 40 minutes defending himself to the principal. He wasn’t even in charge of the field trip, it was another teacher!
I actually gave into her once when we had to sit at the same table for Honors Art and she was complaining about how he never made us write any papers and so we weren’t learning anything. His class is extremely writing intensive, so it just plucked a nerve. I was just said, “So you don’t remember that satire, or the belief essay, or the history synthesis essay, or the 1984 analytic essay, or the Macbeth essay…?” She just glared at me and said that he doesn’t read any of it, anyway. Which he does. He caught a tiny little error in my citation for one of the essays, and caught some discrepancies in my tone in another, and how would he have found those without actually reading the essays?

When your Calc BC teacher takes 15 minutes of every class period to talk to the soccer girls. Did you not just see them at practice/your match the other day? It really irritates me especially when she did the same thing last friday on a test day. Let’s just say I got the lowest grade I have ever received in my entire life on a math test. 30 minutes/45 minutes is not enough time.

@TengoQueSaber I hate that too, my old school only offered 3 (US History, art history, and english literature)

Also I hate when people complain about their homework and grades and then skip class and get food, while other students have real things to complain about. Also, incompetent staff who only care about state test scores.
