Most Interesting GE courses

Hey Guys,
What are some of the most interesting courses that you have taken to fulfill the GE requirements?

um chem6a, jk idk, i wouldn’t know, revelle ges… -.-

What college are you in?

I would say Mus15:Popular Music is pretty interesting if you enjoy the topic. Past courses include Hip hop, J-Pop, Beatles, Rock and Roll, Country, etc.

I second MUS 15. It’s really fun and easy. But yeah, we’ll need a little more info and what your options are to give you a better recommendation.

How is MUS 15 Hip Hop, anyone knows if it’s easy to get A? and if there’s a lot of homework or studying?

^It’s really easy. There’s neither a lot of homework nor a lot of study.

For Anthony Burr, there was a 5-6 page paper and about 10 songs a week that you need to be able to recognize during his midterms. There was also a book that you should read for discussions. The class should be an easy A as long as you do the essay, attend his lectures, and are able to recognize the songs. (You need to know a bit about the meaning of the song as well as it relates to hip hop)

This was from Fall 2010. Not sure if he changed anything.

^Last year we weren’t tested on the book even though it was theoretically required. Not to dissuade one from buying it though. It’s really cheap and an easy read. That’s just to say that the class was really easy. Ha ha.

Haha i completely forgot. I read most of it and don’t recall being tested on it. I just remember using it as a supplemental for the essay. But yeah, its really cheap so I dont see why you wouldnt buy it. Its interesting as well.

I actually found BILD26 (Exercise Physiology, if I’m not mistaken) really fun.
