What would y'all judge to be the top 3 most liberal (politically/socially) schools in the country? I'm j/w (my username may give you a hint why)

Wesleyan, Reed, UCB.

new york university

berkeley

psych..

Hampshire College

Bard College

And Oberlin, Earlham, Lewis & Clark, Skidmore, Smith, Bennington, Vassar, Carleton...

middlebury, columbia, oberlin, pomona, brown, reed

Washington and Lee, Hampden-Sydney, and University of the South-Sewanee

brown?!?!?

Yes-- Brown is quite liberal...

i don't think Middlebury is that liberal. from what ive heard, it has a few liberals that have a big voice on campus (like most schools) but in the end, its a bunch of prep school kids who go skiing every weekend on their dad's credit card, kinda wanna bee hippies

washington & lee .... liberal? really?

Is UCB really still very liberal? From what I've heard they've tried to play down their '60s reputation.

What about conservative universities? I hate liberals (no offense Leftist`) and dont want to end up going to a liberal school.

sorry for the double post...i'm j/w thedude3, why do you hate liberals? maybe you don't know what liberalism (and conservatism) is truly about....PM me if you wanna know more about either side

yes, becuase anyone with a conservative viewpoint must be either stupid or severely misguided.

maybe one of the reasons why thedude hates liberals is their preoccupation with their self-proclaimed intellectual superiority.

I've heard Boston College and Colgate are very conservative. Personally, I'm liberal, so it'd be very difficult to make me attend one of those colleges.

there is no such thing as a conservative college. but southern schools in general tend to be a bit more balanced. try UVA, duke, georgetown, dartmouth for starters. also there is a good book called "choosing the right college: the whole truth about america's top schools" that you should look at. it gives an in depth look at the political climate of the top schools, and some lesser known schools
