^^Yeah, nearly as annoying as when their kids use u, ur, lol, and the rest.

hey, lol is a standard of internet lingo :b

“So I guess”. You guess? Why don’t you know?

When people end every sentence with “y’know?”

For example:

“I really like cheese pizza,
y’know?”

“She’s such a dork, y’know?”

“I just murdered my father and stuffed his remains in the freezer, y’know?”

I can’t believe no one has mentioned “cool” yet.

^^ LOL at the freezer.

I say indeed on the internet a lot more than I do in real life. I curse a lot, so those words are overused. My parents don’t seem to care that I curse a lot either, so it’s all good. :>

Y’know was THE phrase in the '70s. My speech teacher would make a very loud buzzing noise and make us take a seat if we used it. Still remember it, some 30+ years later.

-legit, which i had never heard of in conversation until i moved to NE

“retake”

–especially in the SAT threads…

This thread is utterly hilarious. Totally agree with using chance as a verb.
I’d say the most mentioned school here is Exeter.

And fail. And when people use it in combination with “epic fail.”

Bahaha, I can’t wait until I’m a senior in HS, so I can use the word matriculate. What a great word.

I always thought that word sounded dirty, Cackalacky.

not as much as masticate

“silverturtle’s guide” has become rather ubiquitous in the SAT forum, as the unanimous response to “what should I do to increase my SAT score?”.

^^^Dirty, it may sound, but it rolls right off the tongue and sounds awesome…especially when it accompanies a college that is highly renowned.

“Legit”, “buggin” (“you’re buggin”), and “tryna” (“i’m tryna go somewhere”) are all quite popular amongst the masses at my school. They’re all really, really annoying…but thankfully most of the people in my classes are intelligent enough not to use them, with the exception of a few “legits” every once in a while :P

^Those are all terrible. Legit is popular at my school :<.
