<p>Is the list found on the College Visits page an accurate reflection of the "most popular colleges on CC"? Are the colleges randomly listed or ranked? How is the popularity gauged? Average visit ratings?</p>

<p>If it's indeed ranked, I find it highly interesting that Northwestern is #1.</p>

<p>MIT is the only school that I consider a legitimate top 10 that is missing from that list, looks like those guys have more important things to do hehe.</p>

<p>Most likely, it's because CC is dominated by North Easterners who know little to nothing about Midwestern schools.</p>

<p>You should look at the 'dream schools' thread. Stanford, Berkeley, and Cornell seem especially popular, as I remember.</p>
