Hi all,
I am going to be a sophomore next year, and I’m looking for prestigious STEM summer programs for next summer. I’ve found a lot of great opportunities for rising juniors, but most of them require that my age be at least 16 at the start of the program. Unfortunately, my birthday is in October, and so I was wondering if anybody here knows of any prestigious STEM summer programs for sophomores at age 15. Or if any programs do not strictly enforce their policy on age and grade hehe.
Look at mysummeradvisor.com. You can look at academic programs filtered by subject and also grade level. Some programs have a grade level requirement and some have an age level. I think the issue isn’t so much that they don’t think 15 year olds are mature enough; It’s that you don’t have much on your transcripts for them to see.
There’s a thread for prestigious programs elsewhere. Pick some of the ones that look the most interesting and then read the requirements.
