I'm having trouble choosing. As you all don't know my personality so you can't help me really in choosing a school, on a more basic level, which of these schools is the most prestigious?

Rice
Bowdoin
Davidson
UCLA
Carleton
Emory

In what field?

Essentially equal except for Emory though it is a very good school as well. However the differences between UCLA and Carleton/Bowdoin are so obvious that I won’t list them. Once you choose big or small then choose relative location and you will be down to 1-2 schools.

Rice and Emory are similar both in reputation and prestige.

Bowdoin and Carleton are another obvious similar tier school.
I believe Davidson comes a little below these two.

UCLA is a state school.

Academic prestige…? Definitely Bowdoin or Carleton.
UCLA is perhaps the most well-known out of all those. I second #2 - what field?

Carleton is great for pre medicine. (other ones are probably great as well, but I have not heard anything concerning that about the other colleges)
