Chance me for Ivy League? Yale?Rice?Brown?Emory?
I'm Asian if that helps:)??????????????
Many thanks!!!!

Zero chance. Your ACT scores don’t meet the minimum threshold for Ivy league schools. Also, Asian = detrimental to your college apps.

^asian isn’t necessarily detrimental, but you need to stand out with your activities. I don’t really see that here. your school seems too easy as you’re failing your AP tests, and your ACT is very poor for these schools. extremely slim shot at emory, but you should be able to get into your state public school.

I greatly appreciate your input:)! Thank you very much! What’s the highest I could get (as in the best school for me)? Thanks again! Greatly appreciate your honest answer!:)

Hey what about U of M? I’m a Michigan resident.

It’s possible, but Michigan is getting harder and harder to get into.

being Asian isn’t detrimental when applying to Ivy Leagues as Asians are still the minority on top East Coast schools. Being Asian and applying to top West Coast schools (CalTech, UC’s) is detrimental…

Asians have to score 5-10% higher than most other races for Ivy’s. You’ll have a much better chance trying for the top tier UC’s

actually not most, but all other races

This is patently false. Being Asian is indeed detrimental at Ivy Leagues, more so than at most schools.

Anyway, that ACT is way too low for the Ivies and too low for Rice and Emory as well. Your AP scores are terrible (although they don’t matter much in admissions; don’t report them of course) and your ECs are not good. Zero chance, sorry.

Once again, thank you for all of your thoughtful input. Should I just apply to them anyway? Just for fun? IDK I really want it bad and bc the area where I live is very bad in education and my school is a failing school so will that cut it? I’m not saying that is my excuse but it’s my situation. The reason why I can’t do a lot of EC is bc I had to babysit my brother pretty much 24/7 due to parents working two jobs? I’m an immigrant who came to the U.S. in 6th grade does that fact help the college see how hard I’ve been working? Thank you so so so much for your input!

i have to agree with the other people above. Ivies are hard enough to get in even if you have the stats to support yourself. zero chance for ivies sorry. you could always get into some other university and try transferring.

Trust me applying is not just for fun. Applications are time consuming and there are many essays you need to write and in addition to that you will need to get recommendation letters which is also time consuming. Also the application fees are just ridiculous.

So what school do u guys think is the most I could get in? like the bottom of Ivy League? IDK Please help me on the school that would be best for me and compatible for me based on my stats. Thanks:)
