I figured it made sense to have a thread where people can give some POSITIVE feedback on certain editors OR if you are an editor, could you state your credentials?

I like many other students want fresh eyes to look at our essays and want someone trustworthy.

Please do not bash anyone, only nice things please!

@gibby I am asking for reviews here. Anybody can say that they are willing to edit, but I’m asking for people who have gotten their essays edited to chime in on people they trust

When looking for essay advice, I would seek out seasoned adults on CC – someone who has in excess of 1,000 posts, someone who’s been through the admissions process once already with their kids. FWIW: Several seasoned adults on CC are graduates of HYPSM, some are alumni interviews for HYPSM, while others work as teachers and guidance counselors in various high schools. In fact, one seasoned adult on CC works as an Admissions Director at a well known school. Those are the posters students need to seek out for essay advice.

No, the essay support you want isn’t CC high school kids or adults who may be good writers or prolific posters or even went to HYPSMabc- it needs to be someone who knows what the adcoms actually look for and like. This is very different than writing for high school assignments, college papers or even in real life.

Btw, one first step is to really read and re-read what the colleges themselves say about “what we look for.”

LOL… This is hilarious.
Is this a JOB interview? Asking people to state their credentials?
Did not know CC might be turning to CRAIGSLIST/ANGIE’S LIST.
SMH.

I’m having a great time just reading this forum.I strongly suggest that you look for INPERSON advice BEFORE going to CC,then if you still need advice go to CC. Also be careful, you never know who might steal your essay Oe lol
