Do you mean campus safety or neighborhood safety? The public spaces on campus feel quite safe to me, but I know there have been some incidents on campus at private parties, etc.
As far as neighborhood safety, it’s an urban city and people just need to be aware of their surroundings. Our city has crime and homeless encampments so my two Penn kids are used to urban issues. Background definitely influences how comfortable one will feel in that environment. I stand my assertion that the Drexel/Penn area feels safe.
