As son's senior year of college is here I can't help wondering what is the most valuable college class people have taken which helped them in the real world- ie jobs et cetera??

My son is a pol sci/international relations major. Can't help wondering what he should take that last semester besides the required coursework.

If not already taken, seems most college graduates would benefit from:

Statistics.

Courses in the various social studies subjects like economics, psychology, sociology, etc., since social interactions are integral to most types of employment which are in organizations.

Computer science, if a worthwhile course for non-majors like [CS10 Fa13 : BJC (The Beauty and Joy of Computing) | UC Berkeley EECS | Fall 2013](CS10 : BJC (The Beauty and Joy of Computing) | UC Berkeley EECS | Fall 2013) is offered (typical introductory courses focusing on programming are less useful for non-majors), or a social implications of computing course.

Accounting, economics (macro or micro), analytical writing, statistics

Less useful, per se, but important for U.S. citizens to have:
-American History, esp. since 1900
-U.S. Government and Politics
-American Literature
