Mostly Bs on midyear report (all college courses)

Hey, I'm a freshman at Bard College at Simon's Rock, applying for freshman admission to NYU, Middlebury, Tufts, GWU, and Vassar. Simon's Rock has a really rigorous curriculum, I enrolled in the college after 11th grade (it's designed for people to come in after 10th or 11th), and I'm 16 3/4 years old. Anyhoo.

For the mid-year report required by all of my colleges (except for NYU), I'll be sending a transcript of my first-semester scores from Bard College at Simon's Rock. Do you think the following will negatively impact my chances at admission to the above schools?:

Calculus - B
Intro to Anthropolgy - A
Church and State, Critical Legal Studies - B
First Year Seminar - B+
Microeconomics - B

GPA: 3.28...

(HS GPA 3.8, top 10%, 1400 old scale 2130 altogether, stunning recs, sort-of-ran-my-high-school ECs, worked with Bill Richardson's campaign for a little over two months?)

Does the lack of college As wreck me? Oh, Tufts, I love you, I need you in my life so much.

College is harder than high school. I mean, I think they'll understand. This is your freshman year and supposely the adjustment is sometimes hard. Wouldn't you want to wait a year until you could get all As and fully adjust to college?

Well, I'm gunning for all As this spring semester, and I've learned a lot about myself and how to do college work. I mean, the adjustment will continue this spring, but I foresee better results. Not to mention, I'm an international student (eek!), so if I didn't apply as a freshman, applying as a transfer would not bode well for me financially. I would most likely not be able to pay for these schools then, and they really are excellent schools (esp Tufts IR program).

Well, I know those grades will hurt at Vassar and Middlebury, very competitive schools...I'm not sure about the rest but considering your age and if you do pull off all A's this Spring, I wouldn't discount your chances...just do well this semester, write some good essays and apply. It's impossible to know what adcmos will think anyway so you have nothing to lose by sending out all the apps you want.
