OK, well I'll probably apply to all of these anyway, but I figured I'd see how I'm doing.

Stats:
SAT I: both highest combined, and single sitting: 2150 (V: 720, M: 700, W: 730). I retook it, and my writing will probably go up (which I didn't really care about) and maybe verbal.
SAT II: French 720, IIC 690. (I know these both suck. If I'm bored during winter break, I'll restudy for these two and add a third one and take it in January for those schools that accept them.)
GPA: 3.7 (I've taken all of the toughest courses at my high school, which isn't saying much).

Essays: Right now my main common app is probably ranging from inconsequential to good. Either way, it'll be personal. My short answers are good to strong.

Recommendations: My two high school recommendations should be good; I've known them for a while and am involved in clubs that they advise. My college professor at Oberlin is writing me a recommendation. I'm pulling an A right now, and should keep it, depending on the final. I've had four guidance counselors and only had my current one for a few months. We get along well, however, so it should at least be decent.

Extracurriculars: Have played violin for six years, currently a first violin. I'm one of 3 varsity starters for our Quiz Bowl team. (If it's at all relevant, we're undefeated in our regional league, and won the tournament.) I'm vice president of National Honor Society. I take part in most of the activities in a college program house dorm; I attend all the general and hall council meetings as well. I know that most of these activities suck; I'm looking to be more involved in college though.

These are the schools I'm applying to:

Dartmouth
Cornell
Vassar
Wesleyan
Grinnell
Bard
Oberlin (the equivalent of a double legacy)

I'll add a state university or two after January as safeties. Thanks :)
