Motifs and symbols from Spark notes enough?

Hi all,

Currently researching examples for my essay template and was wondering whether or not knowing the motifs and symbols of a book are enough for essay research?

Cheers

It really depends on the prompt, but if you look online, you can find some of the most popular values that appear on SAT prompts. Cater your template to those values and test to see if your book can accommodate the prompts WELL. Keep in mind that the essay is not about the theme/motifs of your book but how it supports evidence for your thesis, which in turn answers the prompt.

Thanks, I have a few of the archetype questions which were listed here a long time ago and using spark notes for research that suit the archetypes e.g. individuality or following authority. My question is though, whether researching the motifs and themes (that match the general themes of prompts e.g. individuality etc) is enough?
