Hi everyone - congrats to all who have been accepted. My daughter applied RD to MHC and it’s high on her list. Would those who got in mind sharing stats? I realize MHC is holistic, but just to give us a sense. And for those deferred - don’t give up hope! Just continue to show your interest.

Dawnpaige I got in with a 31 ACT (which I sent to them even though its not required) and a 3.73 GPA, but keep in mind that they are more likely to accept people and be more lenient for ED.

As an international student, your best bet is to consult with your schools college guidance. Mount holyoke reviews and admits a large percentage of international students ever year. Your application is reviewed inside the context of your school. MHC makes an effort to understand each applicant and thier level of preparation.

Hi @momneeds2no, thank you for your info! Do you think I stand a chance? (I’ve done an interview with Elizabeth, the director of admissions, been to the session info and exchanged e-mail (not spam)) thank you!

Honestly I have no idea… MHC likes to build a diverse class; bringing together a broad spectrum of women with caring talent and aspirations. Your best bet is to highlight your strong points and hope the dice roll in your favor.

I got in ED with stats relatively low for this pool but my extra curriculars, recommendations, and essay really compensated for that. I’d say that Mount Holyoke is wonderful about really looking at us as people rather than a sum number. Also, I’d like to reiterate the sentiment that DEFERRED DOESN’T MEAN REJECTED! You’ll be fine
SAT CR-630 M-580 W-660
Weighted GPA 3.7
Good luck to all <3

I got in ED with quite a low GPA for MHC (3.22) but had great recs, extracurriculars, and a wonderful recommendation from an alum. Can’t wait to be Lyon!!!
