Mount Holyoke College RD Class of 26 Applicants

They admitted 2 off the wait list last year.

Oh! that seems very unlikely to get into

Got in with a competitive aid package compared to the rest of my schools!

I emailed financial aid just to verifyā€¦ but Iā€™m pretty sure I only got less than $10K a year. Itā€™s ok! Happy to have been accepted!! Even ordered myself a MoHo shirt just to celebrate  But unless the aid goes up, sadly I canā€™t afford it. I am happy for those who got in and got good aid!! Sorry for those who did not, or got waitlisted. Best wishes to all of you!!

Same situation here - less than 10K, but very, very proud of my daughter for getting accepted. Leaning toward Oberlin where she got a really nice scholarship.

You can looked at the Common Data Set for previous years and see more historical data, who knows how this year will compareā€¦

I know itā€™s a year late but wondering if anyone could share your stats that lead to your scholarship and acceptance? Thank you!

Hello! Iā€™m going to MHC in the fall, I had a 1480 SAT, 4.3 GOA Weighted, 3.9 Unweighted, 3 Club Presidencies, Multiple ECs (too many at times), and 12 APs throughout 4 years. I was given a 40k/yr scholarship that I didnā€™t apply for, they pick the students who receive it based on applications

Thank you!
only will have 7 APs after senior yearā€¦ and as of now a 4.25 weighted GPA. My unweighted is only 3.6 or so?

SAT was on lower end but

took sat about a month after heart surgery - Ihate sounding like itā€™s an excuse but I have a con heart defect and a pacemaker . And have had about 6 heart surgeriesā€¦ so it can be tough when I have to recover) It affected my freshman year grades bc I had major surgery 8 th grade and couldnā€™t go back to school until 9th grade. I didnā€™t do terribly but it was a tough year. As I got better and stronger, my grades went up and by junior Inwas in more AP and getting straight As.

Class officer for 4 years
Summer intern at state childrens hospital ( had to apply with recommendations, interviews)
Parish council - Iā€™m the youth representative on the council
Secretary for state not for profit org grant committee - provides funding for area charities, etc
Food bank - weekly volunteer for several years
Activism club 2 years

I am an equestrian: three time captain for my IEA team , sportsmanship award two times

Work at our barn as a groom, also responsible for feeding/meds, assists in training of new riders, meds,

server at local restaurant

Everyone applying is so accomplished and well deserving. It is hard to know if I even have a shot with my lower GPA.

I want to show in My essay how I continued to work hard and overcome my really difficult health history by finding things Iā€™m passionate about to keep me going. I missed out on a lot from being in hospitals growing up and I do not want to miss out on a thing if i was accepted.
Do you think with the focus on the entire student I might have a chance?
Thanks for any follow up info!
