I was going to apply ed2 (my ed agreements were sent in as well as everything else) but I coupdnt get the css profile in on time! I’ve pushed it back so good luck girls (:

Good luck to you too, e10n20n. Please let us know if you’re admitted or not!

ya good luck to you too e10n20n!

With any luck we should be finding out around the end of the coming week/beginning of next week! Unreal how fast it’s come around. I am painfully nervous!

@LrockinLDN , Don’t worry about finAid ! I’m a class of 2017 admit (international), and have got ~92% aid. I know too many international students with 80%+ aid. So just highlight your potential and your financial need will definitely not be detrimental
Hope to see you here next year !

Hi Keya93! That’s amazing. Hope to see you too! Would be awesome. How are you finding it at MHC?

Any day now guys!

Hey guys Thanks for the messages wishing good luck and I know you haven’t posted in this for a while but I have a question to ask?

Since my application also had complications on CommonApp, they extended the deadline to January 17th for me. I managed to get it worked out and turned in by then but I have no idea if it’s early decision or regular decision? I emailed them saying I had sent in my early decision 2 agreement, ect, even before Christmas. Although I got the deadline pushed back, I never got a response about it? Maybe I should check my spam but I don’t think I ever got it.

Also, I got an email from sfs several days ago saying that I should turn in my CSS profile (I was thinking I was going to be a regular decision applicant, meaning I was going to wait until the end of January to turn it in so the estimates more closely reflect the actual numbers) since I’m an early decision candidate?

I also haven’t gotten the information to log into my application online…

Thoughts?

PS. I should have probably posted my own thread but >.<

My D is applying RD but she submitted the CSS on January 1st when she submitted the FAFSA. We used estimated numbers and then we’ll send revisions if anything changes when actual taxes get filed. So, if you want, you CAN file that stuff now.

@e10n20n
I’m afraid you applied as a RD applicant. The deadline for ED2 is Jan1, which means by then you have to turn all your materials in, especially the common app. But I’m not sure, I think you should wait and see the info in your portal. They will put things like whether you are a RD or ED2 applicant there. Good luck!
You should send your financial stuff as soon as possible. I remember sending the PROFILE will take a couple of days.

Yeah, I think that counts as an RD applicant. On the bright side, you have more people to wait with here on CC. :)

Okay, thanks gals I guess we’ll be waiting until then, together!

Hello! So I am an international student and I got into Mount Holyoke ED2 with financial aid. I also got the 21st century scholarship. My family contribution (with health insurance) is about 8.5 k. I can only afford 6 k per year. I tried negotiating but the financial aid department wasn’t very flexible. I don’t know what to do now because I really want to attend MHC. Is it possible to save (summer jobs/internships) about 3 k per year in MHC so that I could contribute towards my family contribution? Are there any outside/inside scholarships for international students that I could apply for after I enroll? Also, how much is the funding for the summer internship (and how long) worth that I am to receive as a 21st century schoar?? Please share your financial experiences with me at MHC. Thanks!

I also want to know if there are any scholarships for international students after enrollment.
Anyway, I found these on MHC website:
https://www.mtholyoke.edu/fellowships/major-fellowships-list
https://www.mtholyoke.edu/fellowships/awards
Most awards are restricted to US citizens, though.
Outside scholarships:
https://www.mtholyoke.edu/sfs/resources/outside_scholarships
I’m afraid it isn’t much help…

I have the same situation, too. Can anyone talk with me about this, I badly need some advice !
I was accepted (RD-sorry a bit off-thread), but my financial aid is only 26k a year. To be honest, I need more than 40k/ a year.
Which means that if the FA package doesn’t change, I must say goodbye to MHC.
Is there anything I can do to change the aid significantly ?
