Mount Holyoke RD Waiting

Has anyone received any responses from MHC yet?

No, and I think we’ll be waiting until at least Friday or so, considering decisions last year went online on the 19th. So excited, though.

The wait is killing me! I emailed admissions and got a reply saying April 1 is the “official date” but we’ll get an email saying to check ISIS “as soon as” final decisions are posted.

Don’t think you have to wait any longer… I’m not totally sure, but I think you will hear something today or in the next days
Hope to see you in fall!

What do you base this on? Hope you’re right.

Wait how do you know?! Are you a current student? Ahhhhhhh! I’m so excited!

Last year they send the acceptance letters at this time, too (I think 20th). In addition, we got our ED acceptance letters pretty soon and BEFORE the deadline, so I don’t think that you have to wait much longer. But I’m not sure, just a guess.
Hope that you all will be admitted :-)

That’s a pretty slender thread to hang onto. This is the 15th so…oh well…never mind…smh.

Two years ago (March 2009) the letters went out on the Friday of the MHC spring break (I was there the day that the letters went out. No one in the admissions office was available to chat on that busy day, and I saw the pile of envelopes going into the mail). This week is spring break at MHC, as my D, a firstie, is at home enjoying naps, etc. However, I think spring break came one week earlier this year than in previous years. So who knows? MHC usually sends out notifications earlier than the advertised deadline, but when asked they always say you’ll hear by the deadline date so that they can preserve a bit of a cushion.

Good luck all! If you do get accepted, you can go there for a sleep-over and a day at classes. Last week, every student got a note in her mail box asking if she would be willing to host an acceptee. If you get in and go to the look-see, you will see great teaching in small classes where the profs know your name. Also, the 3’ of snow is now finally gone and the tulips and daffodils are peeking out. Do watch out for Jorge!

So I guess either this weekend or next weekend we’ll get our responses. Did you guys apply for any other colleges in the consortium, like Smith, Amherst, Hampshire?

MHC was waiting on a thing or two from me to complete FinAid. I received a msg on Friday that my FinAid file was complete, which threw me because I still had something outstanding. I hope that doesn’t mean “oh she’s not being accepted so we can stop chasing her around for documents.”

Now I am so nervous for Friday! I am apply to Smith as well.

So we are sure it’s this Friday?

Anyone else have loan information on their FinAid page? This is new.

No, I’m international and “International students please note: We will notify you regarding signing the Global Loan Master Promissory Note once classes begin for the semester”.

@ready2011: I was accepted under ED and on Wednesday before I got the decision, on Friday, that I was accepted I also got loan information on my FinAid page. I’m not sure if they post it to everyone… Hopefully, it’s a good sign. I’m an international student and got the note, too. I was so excited when I’ve read the message… My parents and I were thinking all the time what it means :-)

Thanks! Do they notify you email or snail mail or you can log on? I was so excited to see the loan information (never thought I’d be excited about a loan!)

My D just got email acceptance this morning. She applied regular decision. She also got a letter from Smith about two weeks ago; also applied RD there. Good luck to all.

Congratulations!!! Are you in MA?

I got an email that my decision is posted on ISIS. You can’t imagine how my fingers were shaking.
