Hey...

So my aunt is planning my cousin's wedding for late August and she wanted to pick a date that wouldn't be in conflict with the NYU move-in date. So, when do we get to move in? When does orientation start?

Thanks.

im not sure, but i think we go in a week earlier for that get to know each other week thingy they have for freshman.

Move in day is the last Sunday in August.

alwaysamom, do freshman go in earlier, i heard we get some orientation week thingy where they take us out to plays and stuff

matt, your orientation date depends on which college you'll be in. Some of them do orientation throughout the summer months. Some during AUO (all university orientation)/ Welcome Week. You move in on the Sunday and the orientation events begin on Monday.

Just to clarify, even if you have a summer orientation, you STILL move in on that last Sunday in August and participate in Welcome Week.

so welcome week is for eveyrone or just freshmen? or do we have welcome week and the rest of the people have class? what happens in clases that have both freshmen and upperclasmen during that week then? thanx

Welcome Week is for freshmen. Freshmen move in on that Sunday and upperclassmen move in later that week, usually the following weekend. Classes begin the day after Labor Day.
