So I am planning to move in on September 20th or the 21st. Are there going to be meals provided until the start of school on the 24th or do we need to go out to buy stuff to eat?

oh ya that’s what I was wondering…hmm…idk…hope it does cover it

I think it should be since that what it say in the contract if not that a breach of contract and we can sue :D

We can always raid the kitchens >: D

East lo have kitchens? or the dining hall kitchens? lol

I meant the dining hall kitchens, obviously

west lo n p hils have kitchens AI and E lo have dining halls

You never know…

So, are the dining halls always packed?

The dining halls seemed to be packed during orientation…
though we only used one and went all in at the same time…

I’m just wondering how packed it gets in there.

Since I don’t live on campus, I’m not sure if they provide meals during move-in week, but they should. It would make more sense (which is sometimes seen as a rarity in the UC-system :P). I have a friend that goes to UCLA and during move-in week she gets unlimited swipes and can even swipe in those who help a student move in.

From my experience, the dining halls were never so packed that you couldn’t find a seat. The same goes for the Commons (though it’s fairly larger, so its understandable). The Barn can get packed, so if you have a class near the Science library and you only have an hour for lunch, you might as well forget it because you’ll take time to walk and wait in line and probably won’t have time to eat. During the lunch rush (from 11-2) the amount of people peaks at the top of every hour because that’s when people usually get out of class.
