<p>You can sign up for decals through telebears. They do not affect your GPA if you pass. I don’t know if it affects your GPA if you don’t pass.</p>
<p>For Decals, what you do is show up for the class on the first day it meets. They will give you the section code to add to your Telebears if you get into the class.</p>
<p>decal.org has most of the info you need.</p>
<p>Basically:</p>
<p>1) Get class information from decal.org. If it tells you first day of class is Sept 2, great, don’t go until then; if it doesn’t, email them or assume it starts on the first school day it meets after Aug 27 (for example, if it’s a Thursday evening DeCal, set aside the time to go on the 28th).</p>
<p>2) DeCals are P/NP only and do not affect your GPA. EXCEPT if you receive a NP AND apply to law school; the LSDAS calculates all NP grades as if they were F’s. But honestly? You shouldn’t fail a DeCal.</p>
<p>3) You still sign up through Telebears, but in most cases you will need to get the CCN from the instructors at the first (or second or third) meeting. Again, most of that info is available on the website under the class’s specific listing.</p>
