Move in day: is this a bad idea.

As an out of stater, I get to travel by plane to Los Angeles. So all I will have is a duffel bag, carryon, self folding push cart, and my backpack. I was planning on being cheap and just skipping on a taxi and taking the flyaway. You think it's a bad idea to walk from kinkross to sproul hall? I know I can do it but is it worth the hassle? If I go by taxi does it drop me off at sv parking lot since the turnaround is closed? For sproul hall residents where would the room key check in be?

It’s a mile long walk. You can do it.

I fly all the time. It’s not that long of a walk, but so annoying with luggage.

Have you heard of Super Shuttle? It’s $16. Primetime Shuttle is $15. If you take a taxi (or shuttle) you’ll be dropped off wherever they are routed to by UCLA. If SV lot is where Sproul residents are assigned, you’ll probably be dropped off there. Normally, shuttles and taxis can enter the turnaround even if it’s blocked off, but Sproul turnaround is closed off for construction so I’m not too sure where you’ll get routed to.

Check in should be in front of Sproul, if I’m not wrong.
