<p>What time does move-in day start? I'm relativel far way, for an in-state student, so it's about an hour away; is it worth it to get there earlier or no?</p>

<p>if im not wrong (which is possible) i think you can pick your key up at 8am from the dorm building… i live 2 hours away so ill be going a little early too lol</p>
<p>8 AM. Yes, get there early! You get to pick your side of the room, your furniture, etc. Some rooms have a window on only one side of the room. You get to pick the unbroken, scratched, dirty furniture and arrange the room the way to want before the other person gets there. He’ll also be less likely to ask to change it if you already moved all your stuff in. Try to be fair about it though.</p>
<p>My RA from freshman year told me how parents and their kids would be outside the dorm waiting in their car at 6am. That made me laugh :)</p>
<p>I had the advantage of moving a day earlier just because I was in the marching band. I was very grateful for that since the room did have the window on one side and I wanted to have the window near me, hehehehehe. Also, I had the side with the box for the cable and internet, so I didn’t have to get a loooong cable. It was perfect!</p>
