Move in day!

I thought that the newly admitted freshmen might enjoy seeing this video of move-in day from last Fall as Hank Ingram house. It was made by the head-of-the-house's little boy. Should get you excited about moving day! Common Place — Hanksters - remember Move-In? Check out Tate's take. Have you changed?

I have a question about Move In Day. For the Class of 2016 Move In Day is August 18. Do I have to move in on that day? I know Vanderbilt has a week of events scheduled for students with Move In Day as day 1 however I will still be on vacation…
Should I change my vacation plans?

You will be assigned a move-in time on that day, and you should plan to be there. You’ll miss important freshman events if you aren’t there.

Move in day is a pretty big Vanderbilt tradition, not to mention all those random events in the first few days. If it’s not too much trouble, you should change your plans.

Thank you for you responses. I managed to find a flight back to Chicago for the night before.
Hopefully I get a move in time for the afternoon…

They’re almost all early in the morning ^.^ best of luck though!
