<p>does anyone know the tentative move in day for 2009? also, is it possible to move in a few days earlier/later?</p>

<p>You can move in early if you do preorientation.</p>

<p>Move-in day is August 31st and they invite some people to move-in on August 30th (supposedly for those who live farther away).</p>

<p>Not sure if they have some other programs or exceptions for people to move in even earlier.</p>

<p>actually its quite the opposite …they invite people who live CLOSER to move in early</p>

<p>Not for my year. I got to move in earlier than the people who live only a state or two away.</p>

<p>for '06 move in (class of 2010) they invited far away people to move in early. relatively random columbia policy changes.</p>
