Move-In Day

<p>do you guys have any tips?</p>

<p>and for honors, is there any benefit in moving in a day early? (other than not having to deal with insane traffic.)</p>

<p>Don’t bring your whole room at home. You’ll regret it when it is time to move in and will regret it even more when it is time to move out.</p>

<p>Don’t know much about the honors move-in thing, but I guess the whole traffic thing is the big advantage.</p>

<p>how long do the parents normally stay for on move in day?</p>

<p>Mine stayed until after I was done unpacking and after we had lunch together at the dining hall. I was in no rush to chase them out really, lol. </p>

<p>The lunch was a nice touch since I would have felt bad if they helped me unpack and then I just chased them off home. There were a couple of kids who had lunch with their family after moving in also. But, whatever floats your boat.</p>

<p>you guys all could have moved in today if you wanted (not freshman). I found out about that little known secret today and drove up to school to get my key…</p>

<p>I’ll be moving in tomorrow too (Any fellow Hardenberghers in here?). I could have moved in yesterday since I’m in band and everything, but I didn’t have any photo ID on me. Sucks for me =&lt;/p>

<p>What’s the secret oleosmirf? :wink: Bribery? Stating you’re in band? Stating that you are volunteering to help move in the freshmen? I’m flippin’ curious to know!</p>

<p>The only reason freshmen (except honors and Douglass students) can not move in tomorrow is because of limited security in the dorms or something like that.</p>

<p>Oh, and I heard convocation is canceled this Saturday, in case any freshmen want to know.</p>

<p>a bunch of my friends are on hardenburgh 2nd floor. supposed to be the best dorm on campus. </p>

<p>i was saying that none of the transfer students would know as it is not advertised anywhere that you are allowed to move in early…</p>
