Move-in for Muir College

I'm going to be moving into Tioga Halls on Saturday. Anyways, as curious as i am, i'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me the process of move-in for muir? anyone have experience?

I mean, for Warren College, they provide for you online the exact move-in process..something about a drive-thru and loading stuff/ luggage into blue-bins..

however, for Muir, they dont tell you jack, so i thought these forums would be a good place to ask about the Muir move-in process ^_^. By the way, im bringing in a mini fridge, about 3.9 cubic feet, how would i move this into my dorm?

it's pretty much the same process for every college: find parking, secure dolly/cart/shopping cart, fill with stuff, make runs to room, repeat as necessary. don't worry so much -- they make move-in as minimally stressful as possible.

....if you come during rush hour prepare for lines for the elevator!

Talk to leeroy, he's the 7'2 asian guy. He'll hook you up as long you remove the thorn from his paw...err, foot.

When is rush hour? My move-in time is 3.

I think a lot of people tend to get there in the morning, so I would say the later the better. 3 pm shouldn't be too bad, in my opinion.

If everyone gets their early, logic dictates that you should arrive earlier still.

They get there at 7? You get there at 5. However, you do run the risk of someone trying to do this to you. This person, upon seeing that you'll be arriving there so early, might choose to get there that at 3.

So, to compensate for this, you should get there two hours earlier than said person. Come to think of it, you probably should've gotten here today.

Does UCSD provide a dolly? I'm pretty sure i need one to move my mini-fridge...

you can rent one for 2 hours. they just ask for a deposit of $5 which you'll get back as long as you didn't lose it or turn it in late. prepare for long elevator lines (unless they've changed since 2 years ago)

when is the latest time of the day we can move in? I know its an ongoing process but when does it get dark in La Jolla?

same as san jose ;)

around 7pm or so this time of the year...
