<p>I think the right thing to do is to discuss it first with your roommate. If they have no strong preferences for upper or lower, right side or left side then don’t worry. But rushing to get there first to claim best bed, best closet, best side of room is not very considerate. Most are able to communicate with roommate(s) before hand and can work this out like adults.</p>
