<p>I know its sort of early to be asking this question, but I was wondering if anyone knows the earliest date I could move into my dorm for the 2005 fall session. How early were they allowed to move in last year?</p>
<p>Move in is usually the last Sunday in August, with AUO week to follow. Everyone (freshmen) moves in that day and it is chaotic! This past year they allowed some to move in on the Saturday due to the Republican convention causing additional chaos in the city, but that was a one time thing. So plan on that last August Sunday!</p>

<p>the earliest is august 28th, 2005 after 9 am. it's on the housing website. also I heard that schools have different orientations according to my friend in Stern.She said CAS's was before the summer last year...maybe there are school-based orientations then a University-wide one?</p>
<p>It's true that some NYU colleges do have orientation sessions throughout the summer months, but the All University Orientation includes events for all NYU students, as well as college specific orientations for some colleges such as Tisch.</p>
<p>yeah ...thats where I'll be then (Tisch). How many people are in a class, generally? I know Stern has less people than CAS, so they get more stuff at orientation. Is Tisch the same?</p>
<p>I'm not sure what you mean by 'more stuff' but Tisch has traditionally had their own orientation during AUO, but Tisch students are able to also participate in AUO activities. I don't know the size of the entire Tisch freshman class but the drama department typically has about 300 kids who matriculate.</p>
