England and japan seems great to me.

I live in Germany. I'm in no hurry to go back to the United States, but I will go to college in the US.

All you crazy Russian-lovers! ^^ I was in St. Petersburg for five weeks this summer, with a summer program. It was amazing, yes, but the culture shock was sooo overwhelming at times. You can't drink the water from the sink. They turn the hot water off for three weeks in the summer (no real future warning). Some of my friends got caught drinking in a park by the police and immediately, the police pulled out some pieces of paper (my friends only spoke english) that asked for a bribe. AAAH!

But, it is amazing. I loved it. As a student, you got to go to the HERMITAGE for free!!! EEEE! And Nevsky...aaaah
beautiful....don't eat any of the food from the stands...^^

Okay, sorry, Russia-ness.

I've actually been thinking about living abroad a lot lately. My current list is

1) South Africa
2) Oslo, Norway
3) London
4) Amsterdam
5) Vancouver

I'd love to live in France for like...a year...lol, but not forever.

Harry Potter made me want to move to London. :D

perhaps to greece to be nearer to my family

france, switzerland, belgium, quebec, french speaking africa

Europe and Canada have both been extremely appealing to me. I've visited Canada (just went as far as Toronto) and loved it. I'm hoping to get to see Vancouver and Montreal soon enough.

Switzerland, The Netherlands, France, Norway, Sweden...but not really England. So many places. :D

Oh, and trust me... you do NOT want to live in the capital city. If you really want to experience the country live in a city other than the capital.

I'm in Canada right now, but I wouldn't mind living in Montreal or Toronto.

International destinations include

Tokyo
Seoul
Hong Kong
Paris
Madrid
Sao Paulo or Rio (assuming I had a gated house with full security)

Johnothan1, Tymel - Why would you want to move to Australia?

It looks amazing! One of my friends went there two summers ago and loved it. The beaches look amazing and so do the cities.

My choices would be:

Dubai, UAE ( they have an indoor ski resort)

Amsterdam( You know whats legal there....)

Interlaken, Switzeland

BC, Canada

Peru

Somewhere in the Himilayans

I need somewhere that has a ski resort

I would never want to live in Dubai, so much strict laws. You cant have a roomate of the opposite sex unless your married. -.-

If your gay you go to jail, etc etc.

I would love to go to Austraila, becuase its beutiful, tropical, love the accent, would love to go to the beach. I probally would go move their if Immigration was easy.

I highly recommend living in Dubai (I did, although I was 5 years old) and it was amazing! Although there are some compromises to be made (e.g. Christmas wasn't widely celebrated), I am certain you would enjoy it :)

I'm a third culture child, so I would definately suggest to anyone to travel and live abroad. It's exciting and provides so many opportunities to see people and culture different to yours. Unfortunately this has made me hate my country of citizenship (because I consider Australia to be boring compared to all the other countries I have lived in).

Bon voyage .... good luck with your endeavours to relocate abroad.

:)

Montr

After living in Amsterdam for 2 years Toronto and the rest of Canada just seems boring. Montreal? I guess I can understand the appeal for Americans from the suburbs, but really it isn't anything that special. Same with Toronto; it's bigger and has more going on than Montreal, but simply cannot compare with Amsterdam despite the fact that it has many times the population of A'dam. I don't even do any drugs btw - there is so much more to this city.

Where would I like to live? Dakar, Stockholm, Berlin, or Casablanca.

I like Toronto mostly because it's a little less overwhelming than New York, and Canada in general is often a gentler place in my experience. But I could never give up all the stuff to do, meeting new people etc. that's possible living in New York, so I'd be pretty much limited to large-ish cities.

I'm legally a Chinese citizen, but I live in the States.

If I weren't going into the medical profession and I had a much better handle on Chinese reading/writing, I'd move back without a second thought.

Come to Tokyo! I live an hour or so away. There's so much to do. I'm never bored when I go out. Just be prepared to abandon all semblance of personal space. It's hella crowded, especially on trains. Some Japanese highschool kid fell asleep on me the other day, drooly and snoring and all, and I was just sitting there panicking, going "AHHHHHH!"

^lol!

Are you Japanese? Why do you live in Japan? Military?

If I'm being nosy, just ignore me... >.<

I would love to move to japan. Just its hard to move to a diffrent country where almost EVERYTHING is diffrent.

Amen. I wrote my whole freaking college essay on that very subject. :D There are a lot of similarities, I think... but then again, I've been here for a long time, so what is the same to me and the same to you may be very very different. :P
