Moved in, now I need a mechanic

All moved in to Presidential Village (nice!), but my van died. Who has a mechanic here in T-town?

Prior mechanic discussion

Good luck!

We usually go to the Firestone on McFarland. The nearest cross-street is Hargrove. They’re open on Sunday, too.

I read the linked thread. Does anyone know a mechanic that specifically works on BMWs OTHER than the dealer? Thanks!

Thank you, everyone! Cross your fingers for me since there are no hotels tomorrow night.

Good luck, Busymom 64! Let us know how things turn out. :-)

So, did you hear the one about the lady who took her first kid to college and didn’t leave?

I thought I was going to have to sign up for classes, but I finally made it home courtesy of a new alternator from the great folks at Firestone (thank you, m2ck!)

They did a great job and I can’t even describe how nice everyone there was. They even took me back over to campus to wait.

When I was leaving, Vick told me that if the kids ever need anything (car-related, I assume, but I swear I think he’d help in any way) they should come in any time and ask for him.

By the way, if they hadn’t been able to fix it yesterday, it was looking like I would have had to stay in the dorm.

Happy to hear you made it home safe.

Glad you made it home, Busymom64! Don’t you just love southern hospitality!?! Vick sounds like a great guy!
