Movers in NYC

I plan on moving up to my new apartment in manhattan in the middle of this month. I was planning on renting the smallest u-haul I could find, drive it up, and hire some movers to lugg the stuff up once Im there. Would this way be a good way to do it? And does anyone have an idea roughly how much it'll cost for the movers. My gf and I don't have much and if there was a 3 man crew to arrive it shouldn't take more than 30 min. Thanks

Find some people off the street, pay them each $15 bucks an hour, and supervise them to make sure they don't break or steal your crap. Or you could look on craigslist for random people to help you move.

then again you can probably get college students to do it for $15 an hour.

Only until the unions find out what's going on and set up a giant inflatable rat and a picket line in front of your place...
