Are there wonderful movie theatres near Cornell? As a moviegoer, I find great theatres important to me. ^^

there is a movie theater in the mall, and i know that cornell has a cinema series that is free for students in the basement of WSH

But I want to watch movies in big cinema halls!! LOL

The cinema is WSH is actually pretty large and has an old charm to it

The Pyramid Mall's movie theater recently renovated and is really nice. Since it's on the bus route, it's very convenient.

the bus to the theater at the mall is nice but if you plan to see the late shows you cant really get a bus back...

the only bad thing about going to regal cinema at pyramid mall is the local townies...

what are you talking about, I love the townies

i'm talking about the teenage townies...

What are you all talking about Pyramid mall popcorn fluff for?

Cinemapolis down an alley on the Commons and Fall Creek on Tioga Street, both downtown, baby.

Independent and funky flicks to your heart's delight.

what is with the teenage townies?

obnoxious, loud, dont pay attention to the movie...

Oh speaking of movie places in the commons, one time I went to this movie theater, its like in the basement of this building, next to a fitness center? And on the first floor there was like a food court area. Where is this/ what is it? Is this cinemopolis? lol.

Seriously, ResurgamBell, do you live in a "Stepford Town" or something? You have to get used to dealing with all types of people in life. Reading your posts, sometimes I think you're a returning student, and sometimes I think you're new! You're confusing me

Yeah.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The theater at Syracuse mall is pretty nice, but there are only a few movies that I'd drive an hour to see in (p?)leather reclining chairs. The one at the Pyramid mall is like a normal movie theater.

And the pretentious dbag award goes to resurgambell. Hooray.

how is it being a pretentious dbag?

i went to see halloween at an early evening showing and the theater was rather empty except for a few groups of teens sitting separately...

one group of kids was screaming (baby-like) and talking throughout at exaggerated rates...

it got soo bad that another group of teens started yelling shut-up and almost resulted in a fight...

all the while i'm trying to focus on the movie to no avail b/c i'm thinking: am i gonna have to stick someone?

ok i do tend to over-generalize...

in spite of one or two bad experiences...goin to see 300, spider-man, and casino royale at the regal cinemas inside pyramid mall was a wonderful experience ^_^

you are forgiven!!

I'd say that refers to teenagers in MANY places lol. Not that I wasn't one a year ago or anything...

yeah i've had the same problem with teens here locally at home...

i was just trying to accurately describe what might happen at a theater here in the mall (like any other mall)

How is the pop-corn quality @ the theatre in Pyramid Mall?

I am looking for deluxe pop-corn with top-quality butter, salt and sugar. (Don't get me wrong. I am thin as hell... burn off around 1000 calories a day via swimming insanely.)
