<p>Any movies filmed at UCLA this past year? When they are filming a movie, do they close off the section of the campus and use "extras" in the background, or are the "extras" actual students walking to class? :)</p>
<p>spring breakdown. and the one with the gymnast that's supposed to be at berkeley so they superimposed the cal tower where powell is supposed to be. </p>
<p>filming areas are generally open unless they're in a building. if you walk through an area near where they're filming, you'll see a notice that by walking there you consent to being on camera, which is standard.</p>

<p>They filmed an episode of House during the summer, and used students as extras. It was in front of the fountain by Powell. The ONE day I decided not to go to work, sigh.</p>
<p>Thing's I've noticed recently were that episode of house, a honda commerical thats two guys with their cars talking infront of the flag pole with Humanities in the background, and theres a commerical I saw a couple weeks ago for that was filmed in the UCLA textbook store.</p>

<p>i still get all excited when i watch van wilder and old school. im always like HEY LOOK ITS MY SCHOOL. they've also shot pieces of Entourage on campus. </p>

<p>part of an OC episode was shot in luvalle commons, dixon court, and between bunche and perloff.</p>

<p>its like...the area between perloff and shoenberg. the grassy areas. i think they called them the sinking gardens at orientation.</p>
