moving company question

Help, Yale parents! I remember reading a thread earlier this spring where someone had received a flier from a student run organization? offering to move out and store dorm furniture for the summer. I meant to write it down, and now can't find the information here. Anyone?

I can’t help you, skm, but why don’t you re-post this on the Yale Parents thread on the main board? It will have more visibility there.

stringkeymom, was it “The student Storage Company?” Try this link:

[Student Storage](<a href=“Thestudentstorage.com is for sale | HugeDomains”>Thestudentstorage.com is for sale | HugeDomains)

It should bring you to the “Yale page”

thank you wjb and aloha! that’s it!

Hi stringkey (and probably others),
Not sure if the CC mods will let this ride, but if it’s furniture that you need to store, we have had a good experience with:

[Welcome to Ace Self Storage of New Haven, CT](http://www.aceselfstoragect.com/)

and used the following movers to get the stuff in and out of storage each summer:

[url=http://www.studsmoving.com/]2 Young Studs Moving LLC -Connecticut Mover- Mover in Connecticut- CT Moving Labor/url

The movers know the storage owners, so there is smooth transition in and out of storage. The movers were willing to take everything out of the Old Campus digs, drop some things off at the residential college room for next year and then drop the rest at the storage unit. They collected everything at the storage unit in August, and moved it into the room. I felt the prices were reasonable, especially if several kids’ stuff is combined and cost is shared. And my back did not hurt one bit…
